K.E. Garvey writes Suspense and Contemporary Women’s Fiction. Her first book, Lily White Lies, won a national fiction manuscript contest and went on to sell out of its first two printings. Next, The Red Strokes, took a new direction when she incorporated scenes from the past to answer questions about the present. The “Like A Girl” series began with Cry Like A Girl, a novel that covered all the aspects of a marriage gone wrong and the dark side of happily-ever-after. Following shortly after was book 2 in the series, Run Like A Girl, which follows Marti Jerome from Chicago to the Texas hill country in an attempt to outrun her own conscience. Her next release, Dead Enemies, has been optioned. (More details as they become available.) In Her Right Mind is her latest release, with a second edition of Lily White Lies to follow in the spring 2020.
Ms. Garvey is currently working on the third and final book in the “Like A Girl” series, Fight Like A Girl.
When not writing, Kathy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, antiquing, kayaking, gardening, music, and home decorating. Some of her favorite writers are Maya Angelou, Wiley Cash, Jonathan Tropper, and Stephen King.
