Fight or flight?
When a homemade sex tape falls into the wrong hands, Marti Jerome jumps to conclusions and chooses the path of least resistance by running far and fast, a skill she has mastered as well as a pirouette.
Just as she relaxes into thinking she’s put a safe distance between her and her troubles, she learns that even a small town in the Texas hill country isn’t faraway enough to hide from the most relentless of pursuers—her conscience.
The highly anticipated second book in the Like A Girl series asks the question – how can you be sure that what you’re running to is any better than what you’re running from?
Cry Like A Girl, the first book in my friend and award-winning author K.E. Garvey’s Like A Girl series, is reminiscent of a classic Hitchcockian tale of suspense, broken dreams, betrayal, and mental anguish. What appears to be is seldom the case in this well-written and highly recommended dramatic literary piece. – Larry Dasilva, Host/Producer, “Studio 411”
What readers are saying:
I Loved this book. Intriguing, and thoroughly entertaining. I have dark circles today because I had to finish it last night. ( Instead.of much needed sleep). Can’t wait for the next one in the series. It was really hard to pick from the choices above. Each of the twist are a real surprise. The mood was sometimes hopeful, sometimes nostalgic but always thought provoking. Each character is well developed. The twist make their dimensions so much more complex.
I absolutely love this family as if they were my own. What a wonderful story and a perfect ending! Another great read by an awesome author!
